Michael J. Levens

Skilled Personal Injury Lawyer in Norfolk

Attorney Michael J. Levens is an associate at Kalfus & Nachman, where he focuses his practice on SSDI and personal injury cases. His main goal is to relate to clients on a human level and empathize with their pain and suffering. He uses that compassion to advocate zealously on their behalf in court or at hearings. He prides himself on an ability to quickly take in, understand, and communicate large amounts of information, which is particularly useful when dealing with medical records of a serious illness or injury. Prior to joining Kalfus & Nachman, he worked as a magistrate for the City of Lynchburg, holding hearings related to probable cause determinations, bonds, mental health detention orders, search warrant requests, and arrest warrant requests. During this time, he also served as an adjunct law professor, helping third-year law students prepare for the bar exam as well as teaching on a number of law topics.

Mr. Levens completed undergraduate studies at the University of Texas at Arlington in 2008. He went on to earn his Juris Doctor from Liberty University School of Law in 2014, graduating second in his class. He served as the articles and book reviews editor for his law review and was active in moot court competitions. He is the only person in his family without a music degree, but he plays upright bass in a bluegrass band, Kinfolk, in his free time. He also enjoys tubing down the James River and spending as much time as possible with his wife and family.
