A crash on I-264 east near Norfolk and the I-64 interchange has left one woman dead, police say.
The crash occurred when a Dodge Caliber driving in front of a white BMW both tried to change lanes at the same time. As the driver of the Caliber swerved to avoid the other vehicle, the driver lost control, spun out, and ran off the right side of the road where it struck the jersey wall.
The victim—36-year-old Erica Fray—was not wearing a seat belt and died at the scene.
The vehicle's driver was treated for non life-threatening injuries.
