What began as a simple gesture has evolved into a meaningful yearly tradition—one that touches hundreds of lives across Virginia each year and reaffirms our commitment to making a lasting difference in the communities we proudly serve.

The 2024 event was a huge success — more than 1,500 backpacks were handed out to local students by us. This year, we aim to match or even surpass that number, made possible by the incredible support of their team, volunteers, and community partners. Join us as we help local students start the school year strong—together.

The Annual Back-to-School Backpack Giveaway isn't just an event-it's a testament to the power of community. Families, educators, local businesses, and volunteers come together with one goal: to uplift and empower the next generation.

The rising costs of education-related essentials can place a heavy burden on working families. This event is our way of easing that pressure—by making sure students have the basic tools they need to start the school year with excitement and the confidence they need to thrive.

But it's about more than pencils and notebooks. For many families, these events serve as an empowering reminder that they're not alone—that their community cares.

From Roanoke to Virginia Beach, and throughout the greater Hampton Roads area, our annual event is more than a giveaway—it's a community gathering. With music, games, food, and safety resources, families find a place where children feel celebrated and parents feel supported.

The giveaway is open to all families with children in the designated age range. No registration is required—simply show up on the event day! Supplies are limited and will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis, so early arrival is encouraged.
