23-Year-Old Woman Dies in Crash

Virginia State Police are investigating after a 23-year-old woman died in a car crash on October 31, 2018.

Shantique L. Reid died after she was thrown from her vehicle. She was not wearing a seatbelt, police reported

The crash occurred around 2 p.m. on Route 29, less than a mile north of Route 642.

The car ran off the right side of the highway, hit a guardrail, and overturned.

The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
