Kalfus & Nachman Visits Norfolk State University to Support Mass Communications Students
Kalfus & Nachman Personal Injury Lawyers recently had the privilege of visiting Norfolk State University (NSU) to connect with students in the university’s Mass Communications Department. Our team spent an engaging and inspiring day on campus, where Attorney Paul Hernandez participated in a live, in-class interview led by students in April Woodard’s journalism course.
Many in Hampton Roads recognize April Woodard as a longtime host of Coast Live, but at NSU she plays an equally impactful role preparing the next generation of journalists and media professionals. Under her guidance, students demonstrated strong interviewing skills, thoughtful preparation, and impressive professionalism throughout the discussion with Attorney Hernandez.
The experience highlighted the depth of talent emerging from Norfolk State University’s journalism and media programs. Students asked insightful questions about the legal field, community advocacy, and professional development—showcasing their commitment to becoming informed, responsible communicators. Their confidence and poise reflected the quality education and mentorship they receive at NSU.
