Super Bowl Sunday is one of the most celebrated—and risky—days on Virginia roads. Between watch parties, long-standing rivalries, and alcohol consumption, impaired driving incidents historically rise during major sporting events. At Kalfus & Nachman, Virginia's leading personal injury law firm, protecting our community goes beyond the courtroom. That is why we are proud to announce the continuation of our Super Bowl LX Safe Ride Home Program, a community-focused initiative designed to help residents celebrate responsibly and arrive home safely.
This Annual Safe Ride Home Program reinforces a simple but powerful message: If you drink, don’t drive.
What Is Super Bowl LX Safe Ride Home Program
The Safe Ride Home Program is Kalfus & Nachman's commitment to reducing preventable accidents during high-risk events like Super Bowl LX. The firm will provide free ride reimbursement up to $35.00 to ensure residents have a secure journey home after celebrating the big game.
This year’s program covers all cities in Hampton Roads, including both the Southside and Peninsula areas, ensuring broad community access. Whether you’re watching the game at a neighborhood bar or a favorite restaurant, the goal is simple—get home safely without getting behind the wheel.
“Every year, we see the tragic results of impaired driving, and as personal injury advocates, our Safe Ride Home Program is a tangible commitment to our neighbors’ safety. We want everyone to enjoy their celebrations and return home safely to their loved ones,” said attorney Paul R. Hernandez.
Program Eligibility and Important Guidelines
To participate in our Super Bowl LX Safe Ride Home Program, community members must meet the following criteria:
- Be 21 years of age or older.
- Use a rideshare service (e.g., Uber or Lyft) to get from a bar or restaurant to a residence.
- The ride must take place between 4:00 PM EST and midnight on Monday, February 9, 2026.
This program removes financial hesitation and encourages responsible decision-making on one of the busiest nights of the year. To receive reimbursement, participants must submit their original ride receipt, along with their name and contact information, to Kalfus & Nachman, 870 N. Military Highway, Suite 300, Norfolk, VA 23502.
Why the Safe Ride Home Program Matters
Super Bowl LX should be remembered for great plays and shared moments—not preventable tragedies. Impaired driving crashes often lead to severe injuries, lifelong consequences, and devastating losses for families. By continuing this Annual Safe Ride Home Program, Kalfus & Nachman aims to reduce risks before accidents happen proactively.
Choosing a safe ride is not just a personal decision—it’s a community responsibility. Every prevented impaired-driving incident protects not only the driver but also innocent motorists, pedestrians, and first responders.
