About Xarelto

Johnson & Johnson and Bayer created Xarelto, which was approved by the FDA in 2011. By 2013, the drug had made more than $1 billion in sales in the United States alone. Xarelto was created as an anticoagulant, which thins the blood to treat blood clots. It was most frequently prescribed as an outpatient drug to individuals following surgery.
