Stuart is a native of Virginia. He attended the University of NC where he received a degree in Economics. From there, he attended the University of Virginia, receiving his law degree in 1971. Currently, Stuart is Co-Managing Partner of Kalfus & Nachman and is a member of the Virginia State Bar.
He has been a trial lawyer for over 35 years, practicing in both the state and federal courts. He is an active member of the Virginia Trial Lawyers Association and the American Association for Justice, and is currently serving as Vice President and as a member of the Board of Directors of the Virginia Trial Lawyers Foundation. He is also an active member of the North American Brain Injury Society. Stuart devotes most of his practice to the representation of individuals seriously injured by the wrongdoing of others, with particular emphasis on cases involving brain and other devastating injuries. Outside of the office he enjoys biking, reading and traveling with his family.
